Links are created using a pair of Anchor Tags:
The start anchor tag: <a>
and the end anchor tag: </a>
The location of the link (URL) is placed within the start anchor tag:
<a href="http://csn.cancer.org">
which is a link to the Cancer Surviver's Network.
Between the start tag and the end tag, place the text which is to be
displayed. For example:
<a href="http://csn.cancer.org">Mesg Boards</a>
When this anchor is coded you get the following link:
Mesg Boards
WARNING: It is critical that all special html characters are balanced:
- Every < must have a matched >
- Every open quotes must be matched with a closed quotes.
- The start tag, <a>, must be matched by an end tag, </a>
If these rules are not followed, the entire web page may be corrupted.
